Update on knee

So quick update on the knee, is not my ACL few!!! but it seems likely that I might have tore my meniscus. Also the doctor thinks that it could simply be a tight IT band.
I have begun some physical therapy and have decided that I will keep my head up and be positive about the situation. I am for now training only bars while wearing a brace.

I wont let the injury get on the way of my last competition!

Injuries :(

Why is it that every time I get close to achieving a goal I get hurt? I know that injuries are a part of the sport but why now? why so close to my last ever competition. Maybe is because I push myself too hard. I have been doing both the open, which is an online crossfit competition, plus a lot of routines at the gymnastics gym. Maybe I still have not learned how to listen to my body. But honestly, I was feeling stronger than ever.
At the gym yesterday I was training my whip half to full twisting front layout and when I landed something make a small sound. For a moment I thought I had tore my ACL like I did in Maine. But then I realized it wasn't as painful and that I could walk just fine. I iced it right away and went home to rest. Today the knee is ok but it just doesn't quite feel the same. It feels funny going down the stairs. I think it is my meniscus but I am not 100% sure. I am going to let it rest for 1 week and then I will only have 4 weeks to get ready for Nationals.

Home meet! First ever!

I had a blast on our home meet! Good way to start the season. The team won first place and I got 1st place AA. I had a fall on beam but overall was an ok competition. My father in law came to watch, that was the first time he has ever watched me do gymnastics so I felt really proud and excited when I saw him in the stands! Not a lot to say, just thought about putting some pictures!
