Why is it that every time I get close to achieving a goal I
get hurt? I know that injuries are a part of the sport but why now? why so
close to my last ever competition. Maybe is because I push myself too hard. I
have been doing both the open, which is an online crossfit competition, plus a
lot of routines at the gymnastics gym. Maybe I still have not learned how to
listen to my body. But honestly, I was feeling stronger than ever.
At the gym yesterday I was training my whip
half to full twisting front layout and when I landed something make a small
sound. For a moment I thought I had tore my ACL like I did in Maine. But then I
realized it wasn't as painful and that I could walk just fine. I iced it right
away and went home to rest. Today the knee is ok but it just doesn't quite feel
the same. It feels funny going down the stairs. I think it is my meniscus but I
am not 100% sure. I am going to let it rest for 1 week and then I will only
have 4 weeks to get ready for Nationals.
