Week 5-8: Getting the Skills
My plantar fasciitis is finally getting better, this past weekend I was able to work on vault and this week I am planning to get back on the floor. So far I have made progress on bars by getting the front giant on the FIG setting (still need to work on consistency), and on the overshoots I am getting less of a spot. The shaposh is coming but it is still on the workings, I catch probably 5 out 7, which is good but Scott still spots me. Patience, hard work and numbers are what it will to take to get the shaposh.
In terms of beam, I have made progress on my series handstand layout step out layout step out; I can do it on the line and onto half a panel mat. I can do handstand layout step out on the beam by myself, and so these coming weeks I will work on consistency on the handstand layout step out and on doing the series in the low beam. I am also working on a new dance series on beam that is coming together pretty nicely.
These are the workouts for the next four weeks
3-5 elite compulsories (with front giant: layout dismount)
2-3 Full twisting giants to giant giant double pike
5-8 Shaposhnikovas (Scott spotting)
5-8 Tkatchev timers
